Changes in Youth Wrestling for the 2016-2017 season.

• ​PreK-K

  • We will be starting toward the end of January as we have in the past.

  • Monday evenings in the High School Wrestling room, 6:00-7:00

  • Our goal is to give these kids a basic understanding of the rules and movements in wrestling and to have FUN.  

• 1st-2nd

  • We will be starting this age group in early December.  

  • Tuesday evenings from 6:00-7:00 in the High School Wrestling room

  • Our goal is to get these kid ready to wrestle in weekend tournaments if they want to.  This will require more repetition in the practice room and more time with the kids.  Our goal is to focus on the fundamentals and to have FUN.

• 3rd-5th

  • We will be starting this age group in Early December.

  • Tuesday evening from 7:00-8:00 in the Middle School Wrestling room. Thursday evenings Jan-March 6:00-7:00

  • Our goal is to get these kid ready to wrestle in weekend tournaments if they want to.  This will require more repetition in the practice room and more time with the kids.  Our goal is to focus on the basic fundamentals. as well and moving into higher skilled moves.  5th graders will also have the ability to practice with the middle school team after school.

 

Information will be sent home with your child in Novemeber about the upcoming season.
